FORT POINT FAQ

DIRECTIONS:

Our brewery is located at 50 Thomson Place, Boston MA 02210 in the growing, bustling Fort Point Channel neighborhood of South Boston. We are located at the end of Thomson Place. We've provided the following tips to make your visit as seamless and stress-free as possible regardless of your chosen mode of transportation.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

The closest T stop is the Red Line’s South Station stop, a leisurely 7 minute walk to the brewery. The SL1 Bus’s Courtyard stop is also just down the street and goes to/from Logan Airport. A number of additional bus lines operate throughout the area (including some that drop/pick up right at the corner of Congress and A Street). BIKING

Biking is easily one of the best ways to get around town quickly, particularly when the roads are snarled with cars. Both Thomson Place and the adjacent Seaport Blvd have a number of bike racks. Also, as it turns out, two growlers (wrapped in some T shirts for padding/stability) fit conveniently in a Hubway bike’s front rack. The closest Hubway station is located near Dunkin Donuts at 330 Congress Street.

DRIVING/PARKING

Driving to, from, and within Boston can be challenging, but there are times when it's actually very easy to make the commute to our Fort Point location. We’re located very close to ramps for 93N, 93S and Mass Pike; GPS directions are generally accurate. We don’t offer any parking spots dedicated to the brewery, but there are a ton of nearby parking garages and affordable metered spots available- bring your quarters! Meter spots are easiest to find between 3:30-5PM during the week, as people are usually leaving work for the night. Early afternoon on Saturday is actually the easiest time to find a metered parking spot.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Unfortunately, we are unable to welcome dogs into our restaurant and brewery at 50 Thomson Place. We love our 4-legged friends, but due to our status as a food service establishment we have a no dogs policy for sanitary reasons.

ARE KIDS ALLOWED?

Absolutely. Trillium Fort Point is a family friendly facility. Our kids dining menu is available during all open hours.

WHERE CAN I CHECK OUT THE FOOD MENU?

Our food menu changes relatively frequently to utilize seasonal produce and fresh ingredients. The latest version can always be found on our website.

HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?

At this time, we can only take reservations for those planning to dine with us on the second floor. Our first floor taproom area is first come, first served. If you’d like to make a table reservation to enjoy a meal, please head to our Reserve web page.

I HAVE A LARGE GROUP COMING IN AND WOULD LIKE TO SET SOMETHING UP, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

GROWLERS OR BOTTLES OR CANS (OR all three)?

We offer a variety of options for enjoying our beer at home, depending on the style: 32oz and 64oz growlers, 16oz cans, 330ml bottles and 750ml bottles.

Our retail counter is located on the first floor on the back wall of the taproom. After you enter, proceed past the host stand to the left and you’ll find the retail line in front of you. Purchases can be made before or after you enjoy food and beers - please note we are unable to hold onto beer for you if you choose to purchase prior to enjoying our on-site offerings!

If you are interested in purchasing a growler, glass costs $5 (plus tax) for either size 32 or 64 oz. This glass is yours to keep for eternity and refill as frequently as you’d like. Prices for filling your growler vary based on size and what kind of beer. We have recently updated our growler policy to include non-branded glass. Please read more here about the specifics of what we'll fill that isn't Trillium glass.

CAN I SWAP MY TRILLIUM GROWLER FOR A DIFFERENT SIZE?

Sure thing! You can swap a clean, ‘like new’ condition 32oz for 64oz or vice versa. The swap is one growler for one growler though, we won’t give you two 32oz growlers if you trade in a 64oz.

CAN I HAVE A GROWLER FROM ANOTHER BREWERY (OR BLANK ONE) FILLED?

We have recently updated our growler policy to include non-branded glass. Please read more here about the specifics of what we'll fill that isn't Trillium glass.

I’M ON MY WAY IN BUT FORGOT TO CLEAN MY GROWLER, CAN I EXCHANGE IT?

We’ll give that growler a quick clean in the back of the house. But, if we’re busy, this might take a little while…we don’t want you or others to have to wait so please remember to do your best to make sure its clean when you arrive.

HOW TO DECIDE?

You may purchase draft pours in our taproom or consult our awesome retail team. The crew is incredibly knowledgeable and very experienced at describing flavor profiles, recipe variations, and making recommendations based on your tastes and comparable styles. Please ask questions and let us know what you like!

WHAT BEERS DO YOU HAVE?

To view the menu before you visit, our beers page is updated daily with beers available for growlers and bottles. If you don’t already, please follow us on social media for the most recent updates: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. We frequently post what’s on tap, freshly bottled, or newly available and push out a link to our website with the list of available beers.

We offer full pours of all beers on our draft list. While we do not offer flights, we are happy to pour you a small taste of something to help you choose.

We also post on Twitter when specific beers are running low. With such small batch rotating selections it’s possible the beer you want will be sold out before you visit. We do our best to give you a heads up.

LINES ARE TERRIBLE. DO YOU HAVE ANY TIMES THAT ARE SLOWER THAN OTHERS

Yes, we are open 7 days a week, and our shop tends to be less busy on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and toward the end of Thursday. Our peak times tend to be Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon or when we have a highly anticipated beer release.

DO YOU OFFER TOURS?

We are unable to offer tours at this time. We have a very tight production schedule and limited space and staff. However, we’re very happy to talk to about how we got started and how we operate, what the latest brews have been and what we’ve got planned in the future. Just ask on your next visit!

WILL YOU SELL ME A KEG?

Sorry, we do not sell kegs to the public at this time.
