Our Street Series of IPAs pays homage to our home, Boston's Fort Point neighborhood. Each entry in the series maintains the same distinctive grist bill and bittering hop addition, offering a clean and soft backbone for a singular dry-hop varietal to take the lead. Summer Street highlights Simcoe, the Pacific Northwest varietal largely responsible for the recent explosion of aromatic hop-breeding in the US.
Pouring a beautiful light orange with a gentle, glowing haze, our treatment of Simcoe results in tactfully balanced aromatics featuring notes of grapefruit zest, spicy pine, candied lemon, and white grape. The front of the palate is greeted with an intense citrus juice character that eases its way into a well-structured and nuanced resinous bitterness. Dry, crisp, and medium-bodied, Summer Street straddles the line between a New England and West Coast IPA drinking experience.
