Trillium is committed to increasing the diversity and inclusivity of our team. From front of house to executive leadership, we hire the best candidate for every role in order to uphold our expectations of world-class quality product and service. We believe anybody and everybody with the right passion and skill can be part of making Trillium a success. To expand the reach of our available opportunities, we specifically take the following steps to recruit, hire, and advance a diverse and inclusive workforce:
RECRUITMENT
-
We actively seek out and attend job fairs that are focused on providing opportunities to POC.
-
We work with non-profit community programs that support POC students, including Bottom Line and National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, to help us attract the next generation of leaders.
-
We collaborate with non-profit organizations focusing on education, such as Pink Boots Society and Urban Farming Institute, that provide career path and training opportunities for women, POC, and other underrepresented groups.
HIRING
-
We have a standardized interview strategy designed to help remove implicit bias.
-
We mandate a diverse candidate pool for every leadership position, ensuring we have at least one female and/or minority candidate for every position.
-
We have hosted Dr. J. Nikol Jackson-Beckham, Equity & Inclusion Strategist for Craft Beer For All and Brewers Association Diversity Ambassador, at our multiple locations to discuss the state of diversity in Craft Beer, and help create actionable strategies to better reflect the diversity of our community internally.
ADVANCEMENT
-
We always look to promote from within for any opening in leadership. Every employee is a candidate for management opportunities and those who exemplify our values of leadership are given priority.
-
We extend our Leaders Lab coaching sessions that develop those values towards our entire team, focusing on ownership mindset, effective communication, and problem-solving strategies.
-
We offer education reimbursement and flexible hours to all staff to enable them to continue coursework that helps them improve their skills and advance their career paths.
We’ve long held these values internally, but have only recently begun to speak out publicly using our platforms because we recognize that it’s necessary to vocally stand with all communities in our efforts to encourage diversity and inclusivity. We are always looking for additional resources that help us level the playing field and we are listening. If you have additional resources for us to consider, please share them with us by emailing info@trilliumbrewing.com. We know that we have more work to do ourselves, and that change only comes with consistent and persistent long-term action. We will continue to share our progress annually. In the meantime, please check out our available career postings and help us influence change from within!
