Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
Permutation #67 is our take on the unique German Lager style of Kellerbiers. Typically referring to a bright, unfiltered pale lager, Kellerbiers, literally translated as “cellar beer”, were historically served directly from their aging tanks in the brewery’s rathskeller, or the basement of their beer hall. While tradition calls for this beer to be served directly from the tank, we are presenting our Keller Helles as a draft only release.
Permutation #67 pours a vibrant golden color with a subtle haze that catches the light in glass. A clean, fresh lager profile displays aromas of freshly baked whole grain bread and kneaded biscuit dough with a subtle floral touch. The palate closely follows as a delicate snap of lemony-herbal hops balances the initial malt sweetness. Slightly fuller bodied than our recent pale lagers, Permutation #67 has a crisp and elegant finish that makes for a highly enjoyable beer.
