Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew. We name these beers in sequence - their numbering first indicates the year in the Trillium lifespan that the beer was released, followed by a recipe indicator. Brewed on our 10bbl Fort Point brewhouse, Permutation 6.16 is a luxurious imperial stout matured in one of our oak foeders from Foeder Crafters atop freshly toasted coconut. Pouring pitch black, with deep chestnut highlights and a creamy layer of mocha colored head, Permutation 6.16 utilizes a complex malt bill to achieve alluring aromas of rich cacao, dried fig, a robust roasty character, and chocolate cake topped with shaved coconut. Medium-bodied with a dry, roast-forward finish, Permutation 6.16 is bold, yet rounded from its time spent in American oak
