Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew. We name these beers in sequence - their numbering first indicates the year in the Trillium lifespan that the beer was released, followed by a recipe indicator. Brewed at our Fort Point location, Permutation 6.18 is based on our series of IPA’s brewed with grape juice. This recipe, a single IPA in the vein of Dialed Down, utilizes an addition Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer grape juice mid fermentation and is dry hopped with both Citra and Galaxy. Pouring a striking, hazy yellow color, Permutation 6.18 offers vibrant aromas of freshly pressed citrus and ripe tropical fruit underpinned by a touch of sweet table grapes and enticing pine. Zesty flavors of orange and sweet lemon lead the palate converging and interweaving with bold wave of vinous lychee, tangerine, bright pineapple and starfruit. Graced with a balancing and rounded floral bitterness invoking notes of rose petal and honeysuckle, Permutation 6.17 has a medium body, soft mouthfeel and a clean finish.
