Red Fingerling Potatoes
In a recent field trial, tall, robust plants with obvious resistance to late blight were still going strong (alongside our German Butterballs) well after most of our other varieties had succumbed to the change of season. What a pleasure to dig when lots of long, bright red fingerlings came up with the fork! Most of the tubers in the hill were 6"-10" long. White flesh occasionally tinged with pink. Fabulous broiled or roasted. A landrace variety originating in Peru.
